What I Love This Week

Easter basket

I hope everyone had a nice Easter! We celebrated with just the three of us but it was a fun day. James is just the sweetest human being and when he saw his basket, he said, “WOW!!” as he explored each and every egg in it. The Easter Bunny even drove down our street on a fire truck and James loved waving to him as he passed.

For lunch, I made a small ham, green bean casserole (Daniel’s favorite), roasted carrots, and cheesy cauliflower mash. It turned out really good although James wasn’t much of a fan of ham. We watched some of Hop on Netflix and then went for a walk around our neighborhood. The rest of the week has been pretty quiet. We’re in a decent routine, all things considered. I hope everyone is staying safe and healthy 🙂

Here are some things I loved this week:

I found a Nespresso maker and a bunch of pods that I was given a long time ago. So we have been having instant espressos which has been fun. We are going to run out of pods soon and I don’t like the unnecessary waste of disposable pods so I was thinking of trying reusable pods like these. Does anyone have any experience with these? Do they work?

I posted about my pregnancy weight gain this week and was really taken aback by the incredibly supportive responses. I want to thank you all so much, you are too good to me.

Daniel and I watched the first episode of the new HBO show Run. It stars Merrit Weaver, who is just the best. It’s written by Vicky Jones produced by Phoebe Waller-Bridge who I adore. I honestly didn’t love the first episode, mostly because I’m not the biggest fan about shows where the characters are meant to be unlikable. But I will still check out the next one. Did anyone else see it? What did you think?

Here is a short and interesting article about a recently stolen Van Gogh that explains what criminals do with well known pieces of stolen art.

The Atlantic put together a list of great movies that have been under the radar and are available to stream.
